About Lehi Hills Vet
The LHVH Difference
Our Promise to You and Your Pet
More Than Veterinary Medicine
At Lehi Hills Veterinary Hospital, we believe great veterinary care goes beyond diagnoses, treatments, and procedures. It starts with listening.
Every pet is unique, and every family has different goals, concerns, and priorities when it comes to their pet’s care. That’s why we take the time to understand your questions, explain your options, and help you make informed decisions with confidence.
We know that veterinary visits can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when a pet is sick or facing a complex medical issue. Our goal is to make those situations easier by providing clear communication, honest guidance, and compassionate support every step of the way.
The Lehi Hills Veterinary Hospital Difference
The promises we make to our clients are not simply words on a page. They are standards we strive to uphold during every interaction.
When you visit our hospital, you can expect a friendly welcome and a sincere goodbye. We encourage pet owners to be present during their pet’s examination whenever possible because we believe you are an important part of your pet’s healthcare team.
We take the time to listen carefully to your concerns, answer your questions, and support the decisions you make for your pet. Our team works hard to ensure you understand your pet’s diagnosis, treatment plan, and next steps before you leave our hospital.
Just as importantly, we believe communication should not end when the appointment is over. We prioritize follow-up, ongoing communication, easy access to medical records, and a level of empathy and compassion that supports both pets and their families throughout every stage of life.
Led by a Passion for Exceptional Care
Our hospital is led by Dr. Joseph Cook, Medical Director at Lehi Hills Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Cook earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences and holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Utah Valley University.
As Medical Director, Dr. Cook oversees medical quality and hospital operations while continuing to provide direct patient care, perform surgeries, and mentor veterinary professionals. He is deeply passionate about educating pet owners and helping families make informed decisions regarding their pets’ health and well-being.
Dr. Cook’s professional interests include orthopedic surgery, urgent and emergency medicine, senior pet care, and advanced fracture repair. He enjoys working through complex medical cases and is committed to bringing high-quality veterinary care to Lehi and the surrounding communities.
Outside the hospital, Dr. Cook enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters, exploring Utah’s beautiful outdoors, camping, fishing, and playing strategy games. He also shares his home with Sylvie, a rescued German Shepherd and Siberian Husky mix who loves outdoor adventures just as much as he does.
A Team That Treats Pets Like Family
Veterinary medicine is a profession built on trust. Pet owners trust us with some of the most important members of their families, and we take that responsibility seriously.
Our team is dedicated to creating an environment where pets feel comfortable, owners feel supported, and every interaction reflects the compassion we would want for our own animals. We believe that kindness, patience, and communication are every bit as important as medical expertise.
Whether we’re helping a new puppy get started on the right path, supporting a senior pet through age-related changes, or responding to an urgent medical need, our focus remains on delivering personalized care that puts your pet first.
Supporting Pets Through Every Life Stage
One of the most rewarding aspects of veterinary medicine is the opportunity to build long-term relationships with pets and their families.
From wellness visits and preventive care to diagnostics, surgery, emergency situations, and senior pet support, we are here to help guide you through every stage of your pet’s journey. Our goal is not simply to treat illness when it occurs, but to help pets live healthier, happier lives through proactive care and ongoing support.
We believe informed pet owners make better healthcare decisions, which is why education plays such an important role in everything we do.
Our Commitment to You
When you choose Lehi Hills Veterinary Hospital, you’re choosing a team that values communication, transparency, and compassionate care.
We promise to listen carefully, answer your questions thoroughly, and provide recommendations based on what is best for your pet’s health and quality of life. We will remain attentive during your visit, respect your decisions, and ensure you fully understand your pet’s treatment plan before moving forward.
Most importantly, we promise to treat your pet with the same care and compassion we would want for our own family members.
